Shadow of Shadows by Ted Allbeury
Paul Kretski
Soviet radioman, undercover in West Berlin as violin maker. The transmitter was found and Blake informed SIS, thus gaining acceptance into SIS Berlin.
Workers Rising in East Berlin
Informed Soviets of the date and locations of locations of where it will start.
Ursula Schmidt
In return for informing the Soviets of Workers rising, the Soviets through Blake sacrificed Schmidt, who was a typist at an RAF base, and provided copies of secret and top secret documents on RAF and USA fighter-bombers and equipments. This further established Blake within the SIS under his cover as a double agent
Lieutenant-General Robert Bialek
At the time, was the most important non-Russian defector to come to the West. Blake betrayed his location to the Russians who snatched him, interrogated him and executed him.
Berlin Tunnel
This 600 metre tunnel under the dividing line between the East and Wets Berlin allowed the Allies to tap all telephones used by the Soviets and East Germans. Blake informed the Russians who informed the worlds press in a major propaganda coup.
Viktor Schneier
As reward for betrayal the tunnel to the Russians, the Russians sacrificed Viktor Schneier, an ex-SS officer who became manger in the office of the official news-sheet of Adenauer's (Chancellor of Germany) Christian-Democratic Party. This sacrifice allowed another major propaganda coup for the Russians as it embarrassed Adenauer, his party and the government, whilst establishing further George Blakes within the SIS.
Kruschev demanding of all troops withdrawal from Berlin
Blake betrayed the political fallout of Kruschevs call within the Allies and their positions for the next four powers conference.
Husak
Husak was the Czechoslovakian assistant military attache at their embassy in London. Blake warned the Czechs of his impending arrest by Special Branch.
